Hello K1!  We have lots of activities coming up this week.  Remember tomorrow with be our Nursery Rhyme Parade at 8:30.  Please come to school dressed up as your favorite nursery rhyme character.  Parents are welcome to come and watch, you will just need to sign in in the office and stand in the hallway by the office/library.  We will come around two times.  Remember to practice those nursery rhymes!!

Remember everyone should bring a white T-shirt to school on Thursday, November 1st.  We will use these for our Thanksgiving Feast costumes.  If you would like to send in any extra that would be great too!  We don't want anyone to be left out of the fun.  Book IT!  reading forms are also due Thursday.

We will have our 1st 9 weeks spirit assembly this Friday, November 2nd at 8:15.  Report cards will also go home on Friday.  Please look over the report card and sign.  We need those returned each 9 weeks.  They will be due Monday, November the 5th.

Thanks so much to all of you who have sent in supplies for our Thanksgiving activities.  We have plenty of beads.  We could still use a few more fabric markers and feathers of any size.  We will begin working on our shirts next week.

I think this is all for now!!

Earth Day!!

We had a great time celebrating Earth day in the classroom today!  We made Earth rice cakes, a Hooray for Trees Collage and made a picture of what we could do to help the Earth!  It was a great day. Thanks for donating supplies to make our day a success!  Have a great weekend!  Here are some of the kids ideas of what people can do to take care of the Earth:

Damrian:  Pick up trash.
Henry:  Save power.
Shaurya:  Recycle paper.
Lauren:  Pick up litter.
Tisya:  Clean up the Earth by getting some cans and writing the word plastic and then you could put plastic in it.
Truett:  If they see people littering they tell them to stop and go pick up the trash.

I got the rice cakes!  Thanks!!
Dear Parents,

I am in need of a few things this Friday.  We are talking about the Earth this week and are going to do some fun Earth day projects on Friday.  We are in need of 22 rice cakes, one large tub of cream cheese and any old magazines that you may have lying around the house. Please look through them to make sure they are age appropriate.  Thanks so much for your help.  When you read the blog don't forget to follow me by clicking on the join tab in the right upper corner.  So far we have 2 followers!  Would love to have more.  I will let you know if and when the items needed are filled.
